‘Develop a passion for learning. If
you do, you will never cease to grow’, this should be the motivation for every
graduate starting his or her career path. Finding that path and following it
can greatly depend on the organization that will help you grow. Throughout the
past three years, the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has recruited more than
1000 young Kuwaitis, of both genders, as part of its commitment to providing
distinctive career opportunities to ambitious young Kuwaitis. Furthermore, more
than 1000 NBK employees are annually enrolled in professional training and
development programs especially designed for NBK staff provided by
world-renowned institutions including the American University of Beirut and
Ernst and Young.
The first milestone in the career of
every NBK employee is the NBK Academy. Here are the thoughts of NBK’s future
managers, executives and employees.
Why did they join NBK?
Abdullah D. Al Sharrad,
Domestic Branches Department, studied Marketing at the American University of
Kuwait, “Not only will I be working in a well known organization, NBK is the
first bank recognized internationally and now... I am NBK.”
Manar K. Al Fahad,

up, NBK is the only bank I knew. Working in the private sector only meant one
place: NBK.”
Mishari A. Al Abduljalil, Domestic
Branches Department, studied Finance at Kuwait University, “NBK has proven to
me that the more you give, the more you get in recognition and appreciation. No
limits, the best thing about being part of the NBK family is the high
expectations that are always set.”
Maha W. Al Faraj, Domestic Branches Department, studied Accounting at the American
University of Kuwait, “I joined NBK to build a strong career foundation. NBK
does not only enrich your resume, it gives it value, recognition and is a
boundary setter.”
Mohammed A. Abul,
Domestic Branches Department, studied Business Studies at the American
University of Kuwait, “As an organization like NBK, it came with great surprise
that they actually care. This is why I choose NBK; they chose to care for us
and give us the right acknowledgement we deserve.”
Noor Noel Al Saif,
Domestic Branches Department, majored in Global Communication, minored in
Psychology at the American University of Paris, “Since day one we have been
constantly reminded of the importance of merging individual potential:
Synergy.”
Ahmed F. Bin Essa,

University, “NBK has managed to prove and make a name for itself in the market.
I want to be part of the family that helped in creating that name.”
Tawfiqah M. Al Aradi, Domestic Branches Department, studied Finance at the Gulf University for
Science and Technology, “I never thought I would work in the banking sector.
But after seeing the career fair at my university, I knew NBK was the place for
me. A name that I know, a business that will allow me to grow and a stable
career.”
Fay M. Al Mutawah,
Domestic Branches Department, studied Accounting at Kuwait University, “After
all these years, NBK has managed to keep its name and has set the standards for
success. NBK on any resume means leadership.”
Today, NBK’s training programs include
the NBK Academy, the Summer Internship Program and the NBK High Fliers Program,
the first of its kind in the region, in collaboration with the American
University of Beirut. Building success, a name, a stellar reputation, and
achieving your goals all start with the determination to make a difference; to
be part of NBK.
